Report: Travis Banks Recently Trained Wrestlers In Mexico

Banks returned to wrestling last week

Former WWE NXT UK Superstar Travis Banks has been training wrestlers in Mexico.

Banks has been out of professional wrestling since the Speaking Out movement but he returned to the industry last week, appearing in a Battle Royal at a Big Lucha event on Thursday, September 16.

ROH World Champion Bandido, who runs the promotion, has since apologised and said he will do better in the future.

In an update, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported Travis Banks was in the process of moving into Bandido's gym in Mexico and was helping to train wrestlers. Banks was hoping to be booked in Mexico and he asked to be on the show.

Bandido and others who ran the show didn't know about the allegations against the former NXT UK wrestler, so they let him wrestle at the event. Bandido and Flamita knew Banks from their time in PROGRESS.

Travis Banks was accused of emotional abuse by fellow wrestler Millie McKenzie during the Speaking Out movement. McKenzie and Banks began a secret relationship when she was a 17-year-old trainee at Fight Club: PRO, while Banks was a coach at the training school. He was 30-years-old at the time.

Banks was subsequently released by WWE in June 2020.
