The Elimination Chamber 2025 premium live event takes place later tonight at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and over the last couple of weeks things have really been shaken up ahead of the show. This is due to The Rock’s abrupt return to WWE, confronting Cody Rhodes and asking to take his soul. He revealed that he would await Rhodes’ response at the Elimination Chamber PLE. This prompted WWE to change up their advertising for the event, plastering The Rock all over marketing.

Prior to The Rock’s return, the marketing for Elimination Chamber 2025 featuring John Cena, who would be competing in his final Chamber match, in addition to another poster that featured names such as Cena, Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, Jey Uso, Bianca Belair, and CM Punk. The new promotional material has featured predominantly The Rock, in addition to music star Travis Scott, who will be making an appearance. This decision has not been too popular in WWE.

It is noted by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that there were multiple people upset internally over the decision to take off everyone from the Chamber advertisement, to replace them with The Rock. This follows reports of unhappiness from WWE creative over the return of The Rock, which has changed up existing plans ahead of WrestleMania 41. It was reported this week that WWE had changed plans for the winner of the men’s Chamber match, which could be in relation to The Rock’s presence on WWE programming once again.
