Report: Update On CM Punk's Pro Wrestling Future

What's the latest on CM Punk?

An update on CM Punk's future in professional wrestling has emerged.

Punk is currently out of action with a torn triceps and The Second City Saviour looks to be done with All Elite Wrestling following his involvement in a backstage fight after All Out with Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and Ace Steel. Punk remains suspended by AEW and both parties are said to be in talks over a contract buyout.

Reports this week noted Punk might never wrestle again but a source close to the two-time AEW World Champion has since told Fightful Select that Punk 'got the wrestling bug again' and they would not rule out him stepping inside the squared circle after he recovers from injury. The source noted that Punk might feel different by the time he recovers from the torn triceps, though, especially with his current situation in AEW.

If he does leave Tony Khan's promotion, Punk will have opportunities to continue his in-ring career. Representatives from multiple companies noted to Fightful they would at least be interested in speaking with Punk. A WWE source also 'indicated they would likely be interested in possibly procuring the services of Punk.' Several who deal with signings believe there would be a big demand for the 44-year-old if he was available.
