CM Punk looks set to miss out on any involvement at AEW All Out. Haus of Wrestling has reported that Punk and AEW CEO Tony Khan have still not been in direct communication since All In and Punk being a part of Collision and All Out is unlikely, although it is "always possible" his status for the September 3 pay-per-view could change before Sunday.
Punk is currently suspended from All Elite Wrestling following a backstage altercation at All In with Jack Perry, who was also suspended. It has been reported that Punk also angrily confronted Tony Khan at All In over him not being picked up from the airport on Saturday morning.
Tony Khan announced following All In that the altercation between Punk and Perry was being investigated by AEW. Khan revealed during the pre-All Out media call that the investigation was still ongoing and he couldn't say at this time if Punk would be involved at All Out.
"We're still continuing to investigate an incident that happened before All In, I can't comment any further about it at this time. I appreciate you asking. If I could say more at this moment, I would. I'm still looking into some things. I promise, I've always done my best to be honest with the fans. In this situation, I'm doing my best to be honest about what's happening and have been looking into this. We'll get back to you as soon as we possibly can, I promise," Khan said.
The AEW CEO then later noted he is aiming to provide fans with an update on Punk's status for All Out by Sunday.
"That is my goal. I promise, that is what I hope, that we have a resolution. I don't expect a full resolution, but I at least expect more information by then. I'm going to keep working on it. It's a challenging situation to say the least and not something I was hoping to be dealing with," he added.
