Report: Update On Former ROH Talents Who Had WWE Tryout
WWE didn't sign two former ROH talents
Mar 28, 2023
While WWE have largely focused on recruiting college athletes in the past couple of years, the company did hold a tryout for wrestlers in December 2022 that featured Kylie Rae and KC Navarro, as well as Vincent and Dutch of The Righteous.
Vincent and Dutch looked set to sign with WWE after being rumoured for Bray Wyatt's Wyatt 6 faction and they were even spotted sitting in the audience at a taping of NXT TV from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Alas, it appears Vincent and Dutch did not put pen to paper on a WWE deal following their tryouts. According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer, neither Vince nor Dutch ended up signing with WWE. Why no deal was agreed upon is unknown.
Vincent has not wrestled since a stint in CMLL in November 2022. Dutch, meanwhile, last wrestled in January 2023 in a Battle Royal on an indy show.
Vincent had spent 10 years in Ring of Honor between 2012 and 2022, although he spent much of last year in IMPACT Wrestling as part of Honor No More. Dutch, meanwhile, joined ROH in 2021. He was previously a WWE developmental talent as Bill Carr in FCW.
