Report: Update On FTR's AEW Contracts

FTR seemingly aren't leaving AEW anytime soon

FTR have seemingly been working everybody.

Dax Harwood has claimed for the past few months that he and Cash Wheeler's contracts with All Elite Wrestling expire in April 2023 and they were unsure about what FTR would be doing next, even hinting they could choose to remain off TV for a year before returning to a major promotion.

In an update, though, Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported that the belief is FTR are "locked into long-term deals with AEW and their disappearance and tease of going elsewhere was just a storyline cover." Harwood and Wheeler had been off AEW TV since the turn of the year to recuperate after a busy 2022 that saw FTR hold tag team titles in Ring of Honor, AAA, and New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

FTR returned to AEW TV at Revolution, taking out The Gunns following their successful defence of the AEW World Tag Team Championships. You can find out more about AEW's plans for FTR here.

The Gunns and FTR feuded in late 2022 and The Ass Boys scored a win over Harwood and Wheeler on the December 21 edition of Dynamite.
