Report: Update On Kevin Owens Injury

Kevin Owens suffered injury at a recent WWE house show

It was reported that Kevin Owens suffered an injury at a recent WWE house show, with the former WWE Universal Champion appearing to jar his knee off a turnbuckle landing, but managed to finish the match.

Owens was helped to the back by referees after his victory over Austin Theory on November 13, and a new report from The Wrestling Observer says that Owens has suffered an MCL sprain in his right knee. Whilst no news has emerged as to the severity of the injury, Wrestling Observer noted that the wording of the injury from their sources suggested WWE were hoping that a sprain is the extent of the injury as opposed to anything more serious.

Owens’ initial injury was reported on Twitter by fans in attendance at the Sunday Stunner show in Madison, Wisconsin, with onlookers saying that Owens’ reaction to hurting his knee suggested he feared he may have blown it out entirely.

It remains to be seen when Owens can return to the ring, with ‘The Prizefighter’ rumoured to be a part of the as yet un-announced men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series WarGames on November 26.
