Report: What CM Punk Did Backstage At IMPACT Wrestling Revealed

What did CM Punk do at IMPACT Wrestling?

CM Punk's tour of major promotions in the United States continued over the weekend as the two-time AEW World Champion appeared backstage at night two of IMPACT Wrestling's Spring Slugfest tapings in Chicago, Illinois on Saturday, April 29.

Punk was first spotted outside of Cicero Stadium by fans and he was later welcomed into the venue by IMPACT staff and talent.

The 44-year-old took photos with IMPACT talent, as revealed by Jordynne Grace, and Fightful Select have revealed further details about what Punk got up to while he was backstage at Spring Slugfest.

In addition to mingling, The Second City Saviour played a round of Uno with an IMPACT talent. If Punk came out on top is unknown. He also spoke to over a dozen wrestlers and he had kind words for a couple of talents he met at the stadium. Everyone within the promotion said Punk was pleasant, in a good mood, and was happy to be there.

This was the first time Punk had been backstage at an IMPACT Wrestling/TNA event in over 19 years.

Punk popping up backstage in IMPACT came only days after he was backstage at the April 24 edition of Monday Night Raw, which was also in Chicago. The Straight Edge Superstar is expected to make his return to pro wrestling next month as the star of AEW's upcoming Saturday night TV show, Collision. The new series will debut on June 17 with Punk's return and it is likely the former ROH World Champion will feud with Chris Jericho upon his return, following a recent meeting between the two men.
