Report: Wheeler Yuta Was Backstage At AEW Double Or Nothing

Wheeler Yuta backstage at AEW Double or Nothing

While he did not appear on the pay-per-view, Wheeler Yuta was backstage at All Elite Wrestling Double or Nothing on Sunday night, according to Fightful Select. Yuta was simply visiting the show.

The ROH Pure Champion has been out of action since early 2024, with his most recent match taking place at the January 10 taping of AEW Rampage where Yuta unsuccessfully challenged Eddie Kingston for the AEW Continental, ROH World, and NJPW STRONG Openweight titles. Yuta disappeared from TV after the match and he was pulled from Blackpool Combat Club's match against Blue Panther, Mistico, Ultimo Guerrero, and Volador Jr. at CMLL Homenaje A Dos Leyendas 2024 in March.

It emerged in recent months that Yuta had been off TV due to suffering from "concussion symptoms for months." How close Yuta is to returning to the ring is unknown.

While Yuta didn't appear at Double or Nothing, there were multiple returns at the pay-per-view. MJF channelled his inner-2002 Triple H to take out Adam Cole in his return, while Juice Robinson helped his Bang Bang Gang stablemates defeat Death Triangle to retain the Unified World Trios Championships.
