After joining the free agent list, Katsuhiko Nakajima has attracted a lot of attention from across the pro wrestling world, with both WWE and All Elite Wrestling reportedly interested in the multi-time world champion.

Nakajima last wrestled on March 30, dropping the Triple Crown to Yuma Anzai as part of All Japan Pro-Wrestling’s Dream Power series. In response to a question on X/Twitter, Fightful’s Corey Brennan stated that WWE and AEW both have significant interest in Nakajima, with the former having ties to the 36-year-old star after sending NXT’s Charlie Dempsey to AJPW to wrestle him in early 2024.

A former AJPW Triple Crown Champion, and NOAH GHC Heavyweight Champion, it remains to be seen if New Japan Pro-Wrestling could make a move for Nakajima, with NJPW in need of talents to insert into the main event scene, whilst the lure of becoming one of a handful of men to have held Japan’s ‘big three’ championships could be of interest to Nakajima.

As part of AJPW and WWE’s burgeoning relationship in the early part of 2024, Nakajima even teased coming to NXT as part of his short programme with Dempsey.
