WWE reportedly considered sending Dominik Mysterio to NXT
Dominik Mysterio is currently enjoying a run as one of the most despised heels in all of WWE, with the Judgment Day member engaged in a personal war with his beloved father Rey Mysterio.
This stint in Judgment Day marks a big turnaround for Dominik, as his pre-heel run suggested there was more work to be done as the third generation star was trying to find his feet. It seems WWE agreed, as a new report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter suggests that WWE were seriously considering sending Dominik to NXT, before the decision was made to have him join Judgment Day instead.
Dominik has been an active member of the WWE roster since 2020, with Dominik and father Rey Mysterio reigning as WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions for over 60 days in 2021.
After Dominik turned on his dad at Clash at the Castle in September 2022, he become one of the most universally detested heels in the entire company, but came up short when finally facing Rey Mysterio in singles competition at WWE WrestleMania 39 night one.
