WWE have discussed the possibility of running a premium live event in Mexico in 2025, according to a new report.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote: "There was at least talk week of doing a PPV show in Mexico City in 2025".

While WWE are no strangers to touring the country, they have never produced a PLE/pay-per-view or an episode of television from Mexico.

Last week, WWE VP of Talent Relations & Head of Communications Chris Legentil told fans to 'expect' more international PLEs in 2025.

"This year alone, we did more than half our (premium live events) outside the U.S. Look for more of that when we’re in partnership with Netflix because we're going to be working with them hand-in-hand to select locations across the world where we can grow our audience and hopefully gain some subscribers for them," he said.

WWE have produced PLEs from Puerto Rico, England, Scotland, France, Germany and Saudi Arabia in the past couple of years.

Several WWE stars have expressed their desire for Mexico to act as a host country, including Santos Escobar and Rey Mysterio.

Earlier this year, current WWE Champion Cody Rhodes lobbied for Mexico to get their own PLE following a non-televised live event in Monterrey.
