Report: WWE Films Content For Second NXT Show

Production has reportedly begun on the 'NXT for NXT'...

WWE has reportedly begun production on a second NXT show.

The show, which has been tentatively called 'NXT Evolve', has previously been described as an 'NXT for NXT' and will become the developmental system for the black-and-gold brand.

Fightful Select is reporting that graphics and a championship belt for the new NXT show has been designed with 'NXT Evolve' branding, and former EVOLVE owner Gabe Sapolsky and Jeremy Borash are heavily involved in the production of the show.

NXT Executive producer Triple H has previously been described as a 'big believer' in Sapolsky and has therefore given the former ROH booker the control of developing this new WWE programme.

The report goes on to say that tapings for NXT Evolve were held at the warehouse that WWE used as a Performance Centre during the pandemic, with Josiah Williams as the host.

Sapolsky's team working on the new NXT show consists of several backstage writers and producers to help him get comfortable with scripting a television show.

It was initially reported that the show would debut in early 2021 but it was likely that his date would be pushed back.
