WWE has big plans for their 2021 draft, according to Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Pro Wrestling Podcast.
Zarian tweeted: "The WWE Draft is taking place on Aug 23rd & Aug 27th. Im seeing a few reports that WWE doesn't have set plans for after the draft. I can tell you that report isn't totally accurate. WWE has big plans for some who will be switching brands following SummerSlam.
"With that said... I have heard the goal is to give this year's draft a bigger feel than the previous for all the reasons you imagine. You have a unique opportunity to hit the reset button on a lot of talent."
Zarian later noted, as previously reported, that the draft will actually take place on the August 30 episode of Monday Night Raw and the September 3 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
What plans WWE has in store for the end of summer remains to be seen, but the company is reportedly considering moving Big E to Raw to reunite with his New Day stablemates Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. The two-time Intercontinental Champion would remain a singles Superstar and would be featured in the red brand's main event picture should WWE greenlight the plans.
