On last night's episode of NXT, Charlotte Flair and Io Shirai went one on one for the NXT Women's Championship, Akira Tozawa picked up another win in the Interim NXT Cruiserweight Championship Tournament, and Adam Cole defended the NXT title against Velveteen Dream.

For many, the highlight of the episode was Karrion Kross's in-ring debut on the black and gold brand. His entrance has been widely praised online and it made the former IMPACT Wrestling star seem like a big deal as he begins his feud with Tomasso Ciampa.

The wrestling behemoth seemingly has big things planned for The Herald Of Doomsday as WrestleVotes revealed on Twitter that WWE has "high hopes" for Kross.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "They've liked Kross for a while. That entrance just showed it. WWE has high hopes for him."

This is in keeping with previous reports on Kross which indicate that Triple H is a big fan of the former Lucha Underground star and he is set to be fast-tracked to the main roster after a short, successful stint in NXT.
