Following reports that WWE were in talks with 'lots of cable networks' about potential projects, PWInsider Elite have revealed that WWE have held renewed discussions with ESPN about working together.

The discussions reportedly have not revolved around a weekly series and the two sides are still very much in the feeling-out process when it comes to what projects they could potentially work on together. ESPN and WWE have collaborated before, with ESPN broadcasting old WrestleManias during the height of the pandemic. Daniel Cormier also interviewed WWE talents for ESPN ahead of WrestleMania 39.

The feeling within WWE is the company will look to get their programming in as many places as possible unless a network pays a premium for exclusivity due to the upcoming merger with UFC and WWE's media rights deals with NBCUniversal and Fox coming up in 2024.

ESPN are believed to have been in talks with another pro wrestling promotion but those discussions might be at risk due to the industry leader stepping in. Which promotion ESPN were in talks with is unknown beyond that it was not All Elite Wrestling.
