WWE could be set to partner with another international promotion.
Sportskeeda has reported that WWE are currently in talks with Carlos Colon's World Wrestling Council (WWC) promotion based out of Puerto Rico, and a possible talent exchange has been discussed.
Fightful Select has since reported that Carlito - the son of Carlos Colon and current WWE wrestler - has been tentatively planned for a match at WWC for months. Carlito was a regular talent in WWC until returning to WWE on a full-time basis at Fastlane 2023.
WWE and WWC were on friendly terms during Vince McMahon's time at the head of WWE, and Primo and Epico were able to wrestle for WWC while under contract with WWE whenever Colon asked for his family members to work a show for WWC.
Eddie Colon told Cultaholic in 2024:
"There's always been a verbal agreement between Vince and my dad that, 'Hey, these are my kids. They're on loan but any time I need them when you guys aren't using them, they can always work Puerto Rico.' That was always a cool deal. I think we were one of the only ones that could actually wrestle outside of WWE no questions asked as long as they didn't have a pay-per-view or live event or anything where we were booked."
News of WWE potentially working with WWC comes shortly after WWE expanded into Mexico with the acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.
