Report: WWE Not Currently Fearful Of Making Seth Rollins World Heavyweight Champion

No immediate fears over making Seth Rollins WWE World Heavyweight Champion

An update on Seth Rollins' chances of winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Night of Champions on Saturday, May 27 has emerged.

Rollins will face AJ Styles in the tournament final at the pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia and it was noted last week that WWE were hesitant about putting the World Heavyweight Championship on Rollins due to his Hollywood commitments. Rollins was spotted on the set of Captain America: New World Order last week and he will only appear on Raw on May 22 in a pre-taped interview as filming for the Marvel movie continues.

In an update on the report, WRKD Wrestling stated WWE aren't immediately fearful about putting the World Heavyweight Title on Rollins. Instead, there will seemingly only be hesitancy if Rollins and Becky Lynch become more integrated into Hollywood.

"Clarifying a prior report: we'd said that there was 'hesitancy' to put the new title on Seth Rollins, due to his role in the new Captain America film. However, its been made clear this isn't an immediate fear, but for the future, should he & Becky Lynch further pursue Hollywood," WRKD Wrestling tweeted.

Rollins is a multi-time world champion in WWE but he hasn't held a top title since he dropped the Universal Championship to "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt at Crown Jewel in October 2019.
