There is not expected to be any punishment for Ludwig Kaiser/El Grande Americano following his arrest on May 20.

False Finish reported: "WWE is not expected to discipline Ludwig Kaiser following his arrest last week."

Ludwig Kaiser - real name Marcel Barthel - was arrested last week on one charge of battery, with it being noted in a police report that Kaiser's arrest stemmed from an incident on Thursday, April 23 at the apartment complex where Kaiser lives in Orlando, Florida. It was alleged that Kaiser and his partner were "acting in an 'uncontrollably intimate' manner," described by the complainant as aggressive kissing. Within the police report, it was noted by the complainant that he told the couple to "please have some manners" when exiting the elevator. Immediately after the comment, Kaiser allegedly attacked him, punching the complainant multiple times and pushing him to the ground, with CCTV footage showing that Kaiser punched and pushed the complainant outside of the elevator. Kaiser also allegedly threatened further violence towards the complainant.

A different version of events has since emerged, though, and a report from Wrestling Inc. founder Raj Giri has claimed the complainant told Kaiser and his partner to show some respect before he called ICE on Kaiser's partner, AAA interviewer Andrea Bazarte.

"This is what I heard regarding the Ludwig Kaiser situation. He was in the apartment elevator with Andrea Bazarte and they were being affectionate, but nothing crazy or out of the ordinary. [Complainant] allegedly didn’t say anything in the elevator but once he got out on the 12th floor, he allegedly said something to Kaiser to the effect of 'you need to show some f'n respect before I call ICE on that b**ch.' Kaiser got out of the elevator and they had a little scuffle, but no punches were apparently thrown," Giri tweeted.

Fightful Select has reported that this account of events is the claim from some on WWE's side, but this version of the events has not been verified by the outlet.

Marcel Barthel became aware of the arrest warrant on May 19 while working in Mexico and he immediately travelled back to Orlando to turn himself in. Barthel pleaded not guilty on May 21 and filed a motion to allow out-of-state and international travel. There was no objection to the motion and Barthel returned to Mexico over the weekend to promote his upcoming Mask vs. Mask Match with Original El Grande Americano at AAA Noche de los Grandes on May 30.
