WWE could be planning on bringing Brock Lesnar back, according to a new report.

While being asked if Brock Lesnar was coming back to WWE on a recent edition of a Backstage Pass Q&A, Bill Apter said: "I can't tell you definitely yes but my inside people in WWE have told me they're talking. That's the most I know". WrestleVotes then followed that up by saying: "I'll give you a short answer. Yes".

Lesnar hasn't been seen on WWE television since losing to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023.

He was due to return as an entrant in the 2024, Royal Rumble, but those plans were scrapped (as were proposed matches with Dominik Mysterio and Gunther) after Lesnar was implicated in former WWE employee Janel Grant's lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis and WWE. Though he wasn't named in the lawsuit, the Wall Street Journal identified Brock as the WWE star and former UFC fighter referenced within.

The suit alleges that Grant was used as a sexual pawn in McMahon's attempts to re-sign Lesnar in 2021 and that McMahon allegedly directed Grant to produce "personalised sexual content" for the former WWE Champion.

Two sexual encounters were arranged between Grant and Lesnar, according to the lawsuit, though neither ended up going ahead.

After Paul 'Triple H' Levesque expressed his openness to having Brock come back, it was reported that it would only be possible if WWE's lawyers okayed it.

References were made to Lesnar on this week's edition of Monday Night Raw by Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
