Report: WWE Researching Alternative Host Cities For WrestleMania 37

'Mania might not "Go Hollywood" after all...

The coronavirus pandemic caused major disruption to WrestleMania 36. The Showcase Of The Immortals was originally scheduled to take place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida but WWE was forced to move the show to the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

It emerged last week that WrestleMania 37 was already in jeopardy. The Show Of Shows is set to emanate from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, but Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti told local government officials and emergency services that "large gatherings such as concerts and sporting events may not be approved in the city for at least one year."

With this in mind, WrestleVotes revealed on Twitter that WWE has already started researching alternative host cities for 'Mania. Many have speculated that the company could choose to return to Raymond James Stadium, but Tampa looks to be the likely host city in 2022.

WrestleVotes tweeted: "Full disclaimer - it's far too early to speculate on specific details, however: WWE has begun researching a "plan B" on an alternative site to host WrestleMania 37 if the state of California is not allowing large gatherings and / or SoFi Stadium is not finished on time."
