CM Punk

Back in November, CM Punk shocked the professional wrestling world when he returned to the WWE fold as an analyst on FOX's WWE Backstage.

Ever since then, fans and wrestlers have speculated about if Punk will ever return to the ring. Former Universal Champion Seth Rollins has repeatedly challenged The Voice Of The Voiceless but Punk is uninterested in the match. Instead, the former WWE Champion has said he would only step inside the squared circle again for a match against Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Rey Mysterio, or New Japan Pro-Wrestling Star Will Ospreay.

It doesn't seem likely that Punk will ever wrestle in WWE again, however, as Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Vince McMahon has labelled The Straight Edge Superstar as the one man he can't do business with and no one close to The Boss has challenged him on this.

Meltzer also noted that WWE only allowed Punk to be used on WWE Backstage because they didn't want to damage their relationship with FOX so early into their partnership, but they did get the TV network to agree to only use him once a month. There is also a belief inside WWE that Punk devalued himself by returning on WWE Backstage and not as a wrestler, causing some inside the company to doubt the former UFC fighter would improve ratings.
