Report: WWE Signs 4 EVOLVE Wrestlers, Referee

WWE purchased EVOLVE back in July...

A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider says that WWE has signed four wrestlers from EVOLVE to developmental deals, as well as a referee.

The talents picked up by WWE include Josh Briggs, Anthony Greene, Brandi Lauren, and Curt Stallion. EVOLVE referee Jake Clemons has also signed with the promotion.

Former EVOLVE talent Leon Ruff had already been signed by WWE at the end of July.

Lauren has already made appearances for WWE since the company's acquisition of EVOLVE. She was one of the females in the hot tub with Damien Priest, during his NXT North American title celebration at TakeOver XXX.

Briggs was the reigning EVOLVE champion at the time of the purchase.

All four signees were in action at EVOLVE's last show on March 1 in Melrose, MA. Briggs lost to AR Fox in a non-title match, Stallion lost a triple threat match to JD Drake (also involving Jake Atlas), Greene was defeated by Mansoor, and Lauren teamed with In Crowd partner Jessi Kamea in a loss to Avery Taylor and Natalia Markova.
