Report: WWE Sticking With Original Plans For Becky Lynch Vs. Trish Stratus Feud

WWE set to promote a Becky Lynch vs. Trish Stratus feud

As seen on the April 10 edition of WWE Raw, Trish Stratus turned heel for the first time in years after blasting Becky Lynch in the head with a Chick Kick following their tag title loss.

Stratus was subbing in for Lynch’s partner Lita, and attacked Lynch after being pinned by Liv Morgan in their scheduled title match. Rumblings of a Stratus heel turn emerged in March with many assuming Trish would turn at WWE WrestleMania 39, and a report from Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer suggested that WWE are sticking to pre-drafted plans for the upcoming Lynch vs. Stratus feud.

Meltzer suggests that WWE are going to wait until SummerSlam to have Stratus and Lynch finally face off, quite a stretch seeing as the event is four months away, with SummerSlam taking place on August 5.

If WWE do stick to their guns then it’ll be interesting to see how they keep the feud going for so long without an official singles match between the two. Trish last wrestled a singles match at SummerSlam 2019, where the WWE Hall of Famer lost to Charlotte Flair. The match with Flair in 2019 was in-turn Stratus’ first singles bout since 2011.
