Report: WWE Want WALTER To Join The Main Roster
The Ring General has been NXT United Kingdom Champion for 453 days...
Jul 2, 2020
Ever since he debuted in NXT UK, WALTER has cemented himself as the star of WWE's fourth brand with his faction Imperium. He defeated Pete Dunne for the NXT United Kingdom Championship at NXT TakeOver: New York and has held onto the title ever since, vanquishing the likes of Joe Coffey, Tyler Bate and Dave Mastiff.
The Ring General has sporadically appeared on the main roster, most recently as part of Team NXT at Survivor Series 2019, and Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that the company want the UK star to work in the United States full time.
Meltzer said: "WALTER's on a guaranteed contract so if they cut everyone I believe, I could be wrong, I believe he still gets paid, but he's not coming to this country full time. That's his deal. They want him in this country, they want him to come to the main roster… He'll come over for some weekends but he's not moving here and he's not coming here every single week. So, that was just the deal that he insisted on when they signed him and they really wanted him bad."
The NXT UK Champion won't be competing on the main roster full time anytime soon, however, as he has repeatedly stated he has no desire to live in the US full time.
