Upon his return to WWE last year ahead of WrestleMania 40, The Rock joined the TKO Board Of Directors, increasing his influence in the company. At the time, it was reported that a match with Roman Reigns was included as part of the deal, though the plans ultimately changed, with The Rock instead teaming with Reigns and taking on Cody Rhodes & Seth Rollins.
It was revealed earlier this year that The Rock had received nearly $14 million of TKO stock - 96,557 Class A shares of stock per an SEC filing. In another new filing, it has now been revealed how much The Rock received in both royalties and travel reimbursement.
The Rock received $900,000 in royalties in 2024, and £2,600,000 in travel reimbursement.
“For the year ended December 31, 2024, the Company paid $0.9 million of royalties that were earned by Mr. Johnson. In addition, Mr. Johnson is entitled to reimbursement for certain travel expenses associated with delivering services under the Johnson Services Agreement, of which $2.6 million was incurred by the Company during the year ended December 31, 2024.”
Many expected to see The Rock appear at WrestleMania 41 this year, though he did not surface in the main event between Cody Rhodes and John Cena. The Rock spoke out about this, noting that he wanted the spotlight to be shone on others, and only returned in the first place due to apparent poor ticket sales for Elimination Chamber.
