Jay White and Cope had a friendly exchange on Wednesday night after the cameras stopped rolling for AEW Dynamite.
The final moments of Dynamite saw the Death Riders beat down Cope following his win over PAC in the main event of the show. Jay White tried to make the save for Copeland and Switchblade was about to lay out Jon Moxley with a Blade Runner when Wheeler Yuta decked him with a Low Blow. This left White easy prey for the Death Riders and the Jon Moxley-led faction left both men lying in the closing moments of Dynamite before they made their exit.
With White and Cope still in the ring after AEW Dynamite went off the air, White extended his hand to Cope and said: "We've never met. I'm Switchblade Jay White."
This prompted Cope to say: "It may not look like it right now, but I'm the baddest motherf*cker in this place."
"I don't doubt that," White replied. "To take down The Death Riders we're gonna need the baddest motherf*ckers in this place."
White then made his exit but Cope remained in the ring and discussed his last match in Knoxville, Tennessee.
"Knoxville. The last time I was here, I faced AJ Styles and Rey Mysterio. Tonight I faced PAC and hot damn it was hard, but I'm still standing. No matter what The Death Riders do, I'm always going to get back up," Cope stated.
After Cope headed to the back, AEW CEO Tony Khan thanked the fans for coming before he said running a show in Knoxville was a dream come true because of his love for Smoky Mountain Wrestling.
Elsewhere on AEW Dynamite, The Hurt Syndicate defeated Private Party to win the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
