Rey Fenix Pulled From Casino Ladder Match At AEW Double Or Nothing

More bad news on the injury front...

Rey Fenix has been removed from the Casino Ladder Match at AEW Double or Nothing on Saturday, due to injury. He will be replaced in the match by Joey Janela.

AEW tweeted, "@ReyFenixMx is out of the #CasinoLadderMatch due to injury. Fenix isn’t expected to miss significant time. @JANELABABY is now entered in the Casino Ladder Match. 1 mystery wrestler is still TBA."

Fenix landed roughly on a springboard dive in the aftermath of his match with Orange Cassidy on Wednesday's Dynamite. Though said to be "banged up" from the landing, signs were pointing to him being able to wrestle in the ladder match, before this announcement came down.

The updated card for Saturday's AEW Double or Nothing looks like this:

*AEW World Heavyweight: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Brodie Lee

*Tournament final to determine the first AEW TNT champion: Cody Rhodes vs. Lance Archer (Mike Tyson will present the belt to the winner)

*Stadium Stampede: Chris Jericho, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana, and Ortiz vs. Matt Hardy, Kenny Omega, Adam Page, and The Young Bucks

*AEW Women's/No Disqualification and No Countout: Nyla Rose (c) vs. Hikaru Shida

*Casino Ladder match for a future AEW World title shot: Darby Allin vs. Colt Cabana vs. Orange Cassidy vs. Scorpio Sky vs. Kip Sabian vs. Frankie Kazarian vs. Luchasaurus vs. Joey Janela vs. TBD

*MJF vs. Jungle Boy

*Kris Statlander vs. Penelope Ford

*Dustin Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears

*Number one contenders match: Private Party vs. Best Friends (Buy-In pre-show)
