Rhea Ripley Had Panic Attack For 2 Hours Before WWE WrestleMania 40 Match

Rhea Ripley was feeling the pressure before her big WWE WrestleMania 40 match

Rhea Ripley was a ball of nerves ahead of her WWE Women's World Championship defence against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania XL Night One.

Speaking during a panel appearance at WWE World the day after, 'The Eradicator' said:

"I legit was having a straight-up panic attack for two hours before I walked through the curtain. I was like violently shaking, just nervous. If you don't get nervous before you go out, especially at WrestleMania, you obviously don't love it enough. That's the way I think about it. I'm glad that the nerves were there."

Ripley successfully defended her title against 'The Man' in night one's opener. Lynch herself worked the match having suffered with illness in the week leading up to it.

On commentary, Michael Cole noted that ""Becky Lynch has been sick all week. She's suffering from strep throat", with Corey Graves adding "Becky Lynch admitted to me earlier, her temperature reached as high as 102 degrees".

Lynch's WWE contract is set to expire within the next couple of months, though reports suggest she will likely re-sign for a very big number.
