Ric Flair: Charlotte Was Concerned She Couldn't Keep Up With Asuka In WWE

The duo competed at WrestleMania 34

Ric Flair has revealed the esteem that Charlotte Flair holds for Asuka, revealing that his daughter didn't think she could keep up with The Empress Of Tomorrow.

Asuka and Flair have wrestled multiple times on the WWE main roster, with the duo notably competing for the SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 34. The Queen broke Asuka's undefeated streak at The Showcase Of The Immortals.

The pair have competed on pay-per-views and television programs since and Ric, Charlotte's father, has revealed his daughter often didn't think she could keep up with Asuka.

On the Wooooo Nation Uncensored podcast, Flair said: "You know, Ashley (Charlotte) would tell me, 'Dad, I'm wrestling Asuka. I don't think I can keep up with her.'

"That's a compliment and a half, right? Because Asuka brings a style so unique, so authentic and so real... that match she and Ashley had at WrestleMania, they stole the show. I mean, they just flat-out stole the show, like Becky and her did (at Survivor Series)."
