Rocky Romero Says NJPW Are Open To Bringing In "Fed Up" WWE Talents

An invitation to "fed up" WWE talents from NJPW's Rocky Romero

Following her exit from WWE, Mercedes Moné headed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling at the start of 2023 and the former Sasha Banks has since had one reign as IWGP Women's Champion. Moné will have the chance to win another title at NJPW Resurgence on May 21 when she competes in a four-woman tournament to crown the inaugural NJPW STRONG Women's Champion.

If other talents will follow in the footsteps of Moné is unknown but Rocky Romero has invited "fed-up" WWE talents to New Japan, telling Comedy Store Wrestling the door is open for other wrestlers to jump ship.

"I think Mercedes was a big investment, obviously, and going forward with that and going to see and test the waters, where they were in the [United] States and where they were worldwide when you take a big talent on like that, so I feel like now, we're starting to feel comfortable again. So I feel like now, yeah, long story is basically, yeah, if, because Vince [McMahon] is back, and there [are] people who are unhappy in WWE, there very well could be a possibility of somebody coming over and being fed up with it and just walking away, and New Japan's door will be open if that does happen, for sure," Romero said.

There is reportedly concern about releases amongst the WWE roster following Vince McMahon's return to the top of creative and the company's sale to Endeavor, notably among talents that Triple H brought back in 2022.
