Roman Reigns Appearance & Tournament Matches Announced For WWE SmackDown Next Week

Roman Reigns is back next week

For what feels like the hundredth time over the last two years, WWE are promoting Roman Reigns’ “return” to Friday Night SmackDown next week, with the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion making his first appearance since defeating LA Knight in the main event of Crown Jewel 2023 last month.

This isn’t the only thing announced, as two more matches in the United States Championship number one contenders tournament have been set too. Kevin Owens will battle through a broken hand to take on Austin Theory, adding the next chapter to their ongoing feud, and Grayson Waller will take on the NXT superstar who is appearing in this tournament, whose identity has still not been revealed thus far.

On last night’s Friday Night SmackDown, Bobby Lashley defeated Karrion Kross and Santos Escobar defeated Dragon Lee to each progress to the next stage of the tournament, with the winner going on to battle Logan Paul for the US Title. Nothing else has yet been announced for the December 15 SmackDown episode.
