Roman Reigns: I've Made The Universal Title The Most Prestigious Championship In WWE

High praise for his own reign

Roman Reigns is closing in on one year as Universal Champion and The Tribal Chief was full of praise for his reign on Out Of Character with Ryan Satin

Speaking ahead of his match against John Cena at SummerSlam on August 21, Reigns said: "Just right off the bat, obviously, if I don't beat him (Cena) I lose the Universal Championship. And that throws a huge wrench in the game plan with what we're trying to do going forward. And I think also what's special about this run that I'm on and the stories that I've told is that in just under a year now, I have made the Universal Championship the most important championship in WWE and the most important championship in sports entertainment."

Reigns captured the Universal Title for the second time at Payback 2020, only one week after he returned to the company at SummerSlam. His run with the gold has been widely praised and his matches against the likes of Daniel Bryan, Cesaro and Edge are regarded as some of the best in WWE this year.
