Roman Reigns Pinned For The First Time Since 2019 At WWE Money In The Bank

Jey Uso has pinned Roman Reigns!

After four years and 158 matches, Roman Reigns has been pinned for the first time since December 2019, putting over Jey Uso at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view from The O2 in London, England on Saturday, July 1.

The Bloodline Civil War tag team match of The Usos vs. Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa main evented Money in the Bank and it appeared the heels would send the fans home filled with disappointment after they connected with a Samoan Spike-Spear combo to Jey and stacked The Usos, only for the former WWE Tag Team Champions to kick out.

Jey then managed to get his shoulder up following another Spear from Reigns, low-blowing Roman in the process, and The Usos ended up firing back with a Superkick Party before Jey Uso decked Roman with an Uso Splash to score the 1-2-3. Jimmy looked to reconcile with Reigns after the match, only to be stopped by Jey.

Having pinned Reigns, speculation will now turn to suggest that Jey will challenge for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at SummerSlam on August 5 in Detroit, Michigan.
