UFC Freedom 250 aired from the south lawn of the White House on Sunday, June 14 and several WWE names were in attendance for the event that celebrated the 250-year anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and US President Donald Trump's 80th birthday.
TKO touted on social media ahead of the event that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns was at the White House for the show, and Reigns was later shown during the UFC Freedom 250 broadcast alongside WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque, with Triple H giving Reigns a big point, as he so often does for WWE wrestlers.
A post from Declan McMahon from inside the White House revealed that his father, Shane McMahon, and WWE President Nick Khan were also in attendance at the UFC event.
Wrestlers and executives associated with WWE were expected to be in attendance at UFC Freedom 250, with WWE and UFC sharing a parent company in TKO. WWE also have close links to the Trump administration, with former WWE CEO Linda McMahon currently in post as the United States secretary of education, while Triple H is the vice-chair of the President's Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. Donald Trump also made several appearances on WWE TV in 2007 and 2009 and featured in Battle of the Billionaires at WrestleMania 23.
WWE also had a presence at the UFC Freedom 250 Fan Fest, with the likes of Chelsea Green, Charlotte Flair, The Miz, Trick Williams, The Usos, Tiffany Stratton, and Bron Breakker all advertised for the event. UFC Middleweight Champion Sean Strickland was kicked out of the fan fest after entering a WWE ring that was set up at the convention.
While a registered Democrat, Roman Reigns expressed support for Donald Trump during a Vanity Fair feature published in April 2025, saying: "I support our president. Trump is one of those guys where he's got a vast history and a huge background. He's been in entertainment. He's been in big business, politics. At this point, I'm supporting a bright future for our country. Positive and competent leadership. For us to be what we're supposed to be - to be a world leader and carry that respect and do what a world power like us should be doing."
