As has been heavily hinted on WWE programming, the plan is for Roman Reigns to defend the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight, but the match may be a couple of months away.
WrestleVotes on Fightful Select has reported that Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight is "currently on the table" within WWE and there is a strong sense within the company that the match will happen at Money in the Bank on October 10, which is currently scheduled to be WWE's next main roster pay-per-view.
LA Knight has been feuding with The Bloodline since May, having become disgruntled with The Usos after they initially teamed together to defeat The Vision at WrestleMania 42. This led to Knight, Royce Keys, and Solo Sikoa defeating The Usos and Jacob Fatu at SummerSlam. LA Knight then confronted Roman Reigns on the post-SummerSlam edition of Raw.
Whether WWE have any plans for LA Knight to beat Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship is unknown. LA Knight's WWE booking has failed to match his popularity in recent years, however, and he has so far failed in his previous WWE world title matches at Crown Jewel 2023, Royal Rumble 2024, and Clash in Paris 2025.
The Crown Jewel 2023 and Royal Rumble 2024 matches were against Roman Reigns over the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, with Reigns defeating Knight in singles action at Crown Jewel, before Reigns retained in a Fatal 4-Way also featuring Randy Orton and AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble.
