Roxanne Perez Addresses Her WWE NXT Absence

Latest on Roxanne Perez and her NXT absence

Roxanne Perez addressed her absence from NXT ahead of the Tuesday, March 21 show from the developmental brand.

The NXT Women's Champion tweeted: "I can't thank the @WWENXT Universe enough for all the thoughts and prayers over the past two weeks. The outpouring of support fills my heart. I wish I had better news, but the doctors are saying we're no closer to finding out what happened to me at RoadBlock. I'm very frustrated, but I promise I'll be back, stronger than ever, but I just don't know when! <3."

Perez was written off NXT TV by collapsing after her NXT Women's Title defence against Meiko Satomura at Roadblock on March 7. The angle was done as a cover as Perez was reportedly dealing with an undisclosed medical issue that could have kept her out of action for an unknown amount of time.

In an update earlier this week, it emerged that Perez had been cleared for an in-ring return. Perez's tweet could have been done to keep her return a surprise for Stand & Deliver. The NXT Women's Title is scheduled to be on the line in a Ladder Match on April 1 and the belt will be vacated unless Perez can compete.
