TNA star Sami Callihan is set to remain with the company after recently agreeing to a new deal.

Confirming his future plans during an interview with Tru Heel Heat Wrestling, Callihan said:

"I'll be there for the foreseeable future. We came to an agreement on a deal, and I'm extremely happy working for TNA. I could see myself retiring at TNA one day and hopefully working behind the scenes. I love TNA Wrestling. As much as people talked about, 'Oh, I want to go to Japan, I want to work for WWE', TNA was always on a pedestal to me, and being a part of that now is like a dream come true".

The 37-year-old returned to TNA at the Rebellion pay-per-view in April, but was technically working as a free agent before officially signing with the promotion. There had been speculation that Callihan could join AEW after Jon Moxley successfully trademarked the term 'Switchblade Conspiracy', which was the name of his and Moxley's tag team prior to the current AEW Champion signing with WWE in 2011.
