Before his Tables match against Robert Roode on last week's episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Roman Reigns did his usual entrance, but instead of punching his fist into the floor of the stage, he connected with a handily placed crash mat.

Our very own Sam Driver noticed the addition while watching SmackDown and

tweeted:

"Anyone else noticed Roman's cute little crash mat so he doesn't hurt his hand?" Which prompted a fan to tweet Reigns about the mat.

The former Universal champion explained he was using it because he performs 48 weeks a year and it would be stupid to get himself injured during his entrance, dissimilar to WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg who usually headbutts a door as he makes his way to the squared circle.

Reigns tweeted:

"Nothing to explain Nick. It’s a little piece of pad. So I don’t break my hand on steel grate. I gota perform like 48 weeks a year man. So that would be stupid. It would be like, head butting a door before my match level of stupid. Anyway, have a good day Nick."

The former NFL Defensive Tackle seemingly took exception to The Big Dog's comments, as he claimed he was more intense than Reigns and took a shot at his alma mater, Georgia Tech.

Goldberg wrote:

"1 of those "C'mon man" ESPN moments. I'll stick with my old school ways ....seems to of worked 99% of the time. We all have bad days. I tend to tap into an entirely different level of intensity. Doesn’t work for everyone. Kinda like the difference between #UGA & GeorgieTech."

With another Saudi Arabian pay-per-view seemingly set for February 27th, could Roman Reigns be next?
