Sammy Guevara Vs. Andrade El Idolo Set For 2/25 AEW Rampage

Can Andrade take home the gold?

The TNT championship will be on the line on next Friday's AEW Rampage, as Sammy Guevara will defend his title against Andrade el Idolo.

Andrade played a role in the finish of Guevara's title defense against Darby Allin on Wednesday's Dynamite. Late in the bout, the referee was tied up with Sting's ringside assault on Jose the Assistant, when Andrade struck Allin with his tablet as he was attempting the Coffin Drop. Guevara subsequently won from there, but was also attacked by Andrade afterward.

Andrade's attack on Allin stems from his repeated unsuccessful attempts to get Allin to become his assistant.

Since becoming undisputed TNT champion on January 26, Guevara has already made two successful defenses of the title, defeating Allin in the aforementioned bout, and beating Isiah Kassidy on Rampage two weeks prior.

Next Friday's Rampage will be taped this Wednesday night in Bridgeport, CT, following the live Dynamite. Matches for Dynamite include AEW TBS Women's champion Jade Cargill vs. The Bunny, House of Black vs. Penta el Zero Miedo and Pac, and a battle royal to determine one of the teams in the Tag Team title match at Revolution.
