Santa Claus Fails To Win GCW World Title In Time For Christmas Day

No GCW World Title for Santa Claus this Christmas

Santa Claus, unfortunately, won't be finding the GCW World Championship under his tree on Christmas morning after he is finished delivering presents to all of the children on the nice list.

Taking a break from his Christmas Eve preparations, Santa Claus main evented GCW Holiday Special in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey on Thursday night as he challenged Blake Christian for the Game Changer Wrestling World Championship.

Christian initially proved himself to be a real Grinch, quite literally as he made his way to the ring to the Grinch theme. Santa Claus performed his usual activities, eating a cookie in the opening moments, but he was later revealed to look an awful lot like Big Vin after Blake Christian removed his beard.

Santa then channelled his inner icon and almost picked up the win following a Stinger Splash and Sit-Out Powerbomb but Christian managed to kick out at two. Kris Kringle then revealed he had stored a present under the ring which turned out to be a giant wrapped-up door. Santa put the door to good use, putting Christian through it following a Chokeslam for another near fall.

This was as close as Santa came to winning the match as Blake Christian applied the Figure-Four Leglock and scored the 1-2-3 after hitting Mr Claus with a chair shot while he was trapped in the submission, forcing Santa to fall back and have his shoulders pinned.

It wasn't all bad news for Santa, however, as Nick Gage hit the ring after the match and he worked with Claus to take out the GCW World Champion before all the babyfaces hit the ring for a jolly sing-along to send the fans home happy.
