Scorpio Sky Misses AEW: Dynamite Following COVID-19 Exposure

His feud with Shawn Spears will continue at a later date...

The rivalry between Shawn Spears and Scorpio Sky was scheduled to continue on last night's Dynamite in their first one on one encounter. Both men have repeatedly attacked and goaded each other in recent weeks and Sky even beat down The Chairman while dressed as a minotaur.

AEW announced ahead of Dynamite that the match had been scrapped, though, as Scorpio Sky had been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks.

AEW tweeted: "Through contact tracing, AEW learned @ScorpioSky was exposed to someone with COVID-19 within the last 14 days. An initial test was negative, but AEW has decided to postpone tonight’s scheduled match."

This is the third time an AEW match has been affected by coronavirus in the past couple of months. A scheduled six-man tag team match involving Lance Archer was scrapped in late September after he tested positive for COVID-19. Joey Janela was then pulled from the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament a couple of weeks ago after being exposed to the virus at an independent wrestling show.
