Scott D'Amore Offers Hiromu Takahashi X-Division Title Match

Could Hiromu Takahashi make his way to IMPACT's X Division?

New Japan’s annual Best of the Super Juniors tournament is currently running, with NJPW running a full tournament with outside competitors for the first time since the outbreak of COVID-19.

One of the outside names turning heads at BOSJ 29 is IMPACT’s Ace Austin, with the current X Division Champion putting up a spirited display against BOSJ 27 and 28 winner Hiromu Takahashi in a losing effort in A Block.

After their match the two exchanged pleasantries on Twitter, with Takahashi saying he wants Austin’s title, to which IMPACT EVP Scott D’Amore responded:

“Well @TIMEBOMB1105, there is an open door for you to walk through. Come step in an @IMPACTWRESTLING ring anytime. Your title shot awaits…”

If Takashi accepts he won’t be the first New Japan talent to go after the historic X Division Title, with the likes of Sanada and Taiji Ishimori former holders of the strap.

IMPACT has welcomed plenty of NJPW talent into their ring over the past year, with the likes of Minoru Suzuki, Satoshi Kojima, Tomohiro Ishii, and Jay White having plied their trade in IMPACT.
