Scott D'Amore Teases Multiple Surprises At IMPACT Slammiversary 2021

Who will Deonna Purrazzo face?

IMPACT Wrestling executive Scott D’Amore has teased a host of potential debuts and returns at Slammiversary 2021 in a promo laced with references.

D'Amore sat down with Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo to sign the contract for her Championship defence at Saturday's pay-per-view. Purrazzo will be putting her Title on the line against a mystery opponent at Slammiversary.

During the segment, D'Amore said about Slammiversary and IMPACT Wrestling to Purrazzo that 'sometimes things around here get to be a little bit of a hot mess, but Slammiversary is truly going to be iconic. We’re in Nashville here … might be a little hardcore country."

D'Amore's comments made direct references to a number of former WWE Superstars, all of who were released by the promotion in April and will have seen their non-competes expire by Saturday.

'Hot Mess' is a reference to Chelsea Green, who was previously in IMPACT, while 'Hardcore Country' also references another former IMPACT star in Mickie James. The use of the term 'iconic' brings forth memories of the former WWE tag-team The Ilconics; a hint that Billie Kay and Peyton Royce could also be involved in some capacity.
