Sean Waltman: Joe Gacy's WWE NXT 2.0 Debut Was Some Of The Worst Sh*t I've Ever Seen

Waltman was not impressed

Joe Gacy has certainly drawn attention since he debuted a new gimmick on WWE NXT 2.0 in September.

The former CZW World Heavyweight Champion debuted as a character determined to make NXT's ring a safe space and he has promised to win matches for all the "snowflakes." The gimmick quickly drew mainstream coverage from the likes of FOX News, who claimed the character was rallying against the "woke left."

Speaking about the gimmick's first appearance on Pro Wrestling 4 Life, WWE Hall Of Famer Sean Waltman described the debut as "some of the worst sh*t" he's ever seen on a wrestling TV show.

"That was f*cking brutal. If you're doing that to specifically get at a certain group of people, you lost the f*cking plot. That was f*cking rotten. Some of the worst sh*t I've ever seen on a wrestling TV show," Waltman said.

WWE has since toned down the Joe Gacy character and he has seemingly aligned himself with Harland.

Waltman also discussed NXT 2.0's struggles to attract a younger audience and he argued people over 60-years-old can't write a show for the 18-34 demographic.
