Seth Rollins And Roman Reigns To Face Off On WWE SmackDown For First Draft Pick, Other Draft Notes

Shield brothers collide...

The 2019 WWE Draft kicks off this Friday night on SmackDown live from Las Vegas, where two stars with a years-long connection are set to square off in representation of their brands.

Raw superstar and Universal champion Seth Rollins takes on SmackDown's Roman Reigns, in a match where the winner earns the first overall draft choice for their brand.

As Dave Meltzer revealed on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, the Draft format will be done a little bit differently from previous years. Representatives from FOX and USA Network will be on hand to announce the selections for the shows, which will be done similarly to the NFL Draft.

Reportedly, wrestlers are not being told what show they're going to end up on, and will find out at the same time as everybody else.

Additionally, there are no plans right now for either brand to have general managers or other authority figures, as WWE doesn't want those for the time being.

The Draft is going to be a two-night event, concluding at Monday's edition of Raw in Denver.
