The wrestlers across WWE’s three brands are currently engaged in what WWE announced as a ‘transfer window’, which allows wrestlers the freedom to jump between Monday Night RAW, Friday Night SmackDown and NXT as they please, all the while the General Managers make deals to swap certain talent between shows.

On last night’s January 24 episode of SmackDown in Austin, Texas, several wrestlers officially moved brands. The most notable of these transfers was former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, who was officially welcomed to SmackDown, scoring a victory over Carmelo Hayes in singles action. In an online exclusive, Priest commented the following on his move to the blue brand.

“It’s been a big one, man. Four years in WWE, all Monday Night Raw. I feel like this is the right time to move. I accomplished everything that I wanted to accomplish on Monday Night Raw. World Champion, United States Champion, multiple-time tag team champion. Now, it’s time for something new, a new challenge, new rivals. I’m here on Smackdown, ready to take them all on.”

The Miz also joins Priest on SmackDown in a move that takes him away from Karrion Kross and the Final Testament. Additionally, A-Town Down Under were both moved over to RAW. There were some other big developments on SmackDown this week, such as Charlotte Flair and others announcing their Royal Rumble participation.
