Shane McMahon Returning To WWE Raw Tonight

He was supposed to have been fired...

Little has been announced for tonight's episode of Monday Night Raw, but WWE has confirmed Apollo Crews will return after a month away to defend the United States Championship against MVP. The match was supposed to take place at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules but Apollo has reportedly been out of action due to a COVID-19 related issue.

This won't be the only return tonight as the company announced on Twitter that Shane McMahon will be returning to WWE TV. Shane O'Mac was fired in storyline back on the October 4, 2019 episode of Friday Night SmackDown after he lost a Ladder match to Kevin Owens.

WWE tweeted: "Shane-O-Mac is back! @shanemcmahon RETURNS to #WWERaw TONIGHT. What will he have in store?"

The former Best In The World has been working backstage ever since he was "fired." Why the wrestling behemoth has decided to bring him back in an on-screen role is currently unknown, but SummerSlam 2020 is only 20 days away so Shane's return could be related to the upcoming pay-per-view.
