Shawn Michaels Discusses Rumoured Dream Match With Eddie Guerrero

There are several dream matches we never got as fans; Kurt Angle vs. Bret Hart, Sting vs. Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels vs. Eddie Guerrero being three big clashes that wrestling fans wish they could have seen.

Michaels was asked about his thoughts on a potential match with Guerrero back when they were both in WWE, with ‘HBK’ saying the following during the NXT Halloween Havoc post-show media call:

"I've heard somebody pitched it at a creative meeting. It would've been a blast to do," said Michaels. “Where we were at later on in our careers, we probably would've argued about who was putting who over. Neither one of us would've had a problem, that's for sure. It would be my honour to put Eddie Guerrero over."

Throughout the years rumours suggested that Guerrero vs. Michaels could have become a reality in WWE with Bruce Prichard revealing on an episode of Something to Wrestle With that Michaels vs. Guerrero was discussed for WrestleMania 22, but the match would not come to be due to Guerrero’s untimely passing in 2005.
