Shotzi & Nox Learned Of Permanent WWE Main Roster Call-Up After SmackDown Debut

The duo debuted on SmackDown last month

Shotzi and Nox have revealed how they were only informed their move to the WWE main roster was permanent after they had made their SmackDown debut.

Shotzi and Nox teamed up to defeat WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Natalya and Tamina on the July 9 Friday Night SmackDown in what was their first showing on the blue brand.

Not long after, it was confirmed the former NXT duo would be making the switch permanently to WWE's main roster.

The tag team have now confirmed that they also did not know their SmackDown match wasn't just a one-bout thing, and were surprised to hear after their win that they were now permanent fixtures on WWE's blue brand.

Speaking to TalkSPORT, Nox said: "It was a bit of a sudden change, to be honest.

“On the Tuesday I was taking the stuff to Candice and having them lose the titles and then Friday, after our match on SmackDown, they’re like ‘hey, congratulations, you’re on SmackDown now,’ like whaaaaat. We had no prior indication that we were moving up. We had no idea. It’s been completely non-stop since [that] Friday."

Shotzi added: “It happened so fast. We found out the day of, basically. The day that we debuted is the day we found out we were getting called up so it’s been a wild, fast-paced journey.”
